it's a party

I can't believe that it is already Wednesday. My Dad was in town for the weekend and left Monday. I am a little off for the week. We had such a great time, I love and miss him so much! Playing at the beach with the boys and burgers at Poe's, what a perfect Sunday afternoon we had.

Here are a few Birthday party invitation designs. I will re post with a few more of the matching cakes. If you are local you need to have Amy at Sugar Mama's Bakery make your next Birthday cake. My boys and I call her our ace of cakes :) I send her my designs and she creates a cake to match. And I LOVE to match. Is that monkey not the cutest cake???

they are here and I am in LOVE!

I think I may be partial to sweet little boy designs since that is all I have.  For the mailing/return label I tried something new, and they turned out beautiful! The labels are one long strip that wraps around to the back of the envelope. So on the front is the mailing address and the back has the return address. What a great idea, Custom Toy Portraits! The lovies in our house were loved almost to shreds. The sight of them brings back so many sweet memories. A must of my little guys lovies. I wonder if she will paint a bottle for my littlest guy? That is his love! And the prices are very reasonable, $60-$130 depending on the size. These paintings would look darling in your child's room or nursery of a younger sibling. Ours will hang in the stair way with a collection of family photos and other art work. Can't wait. I have been working on a new website for months now. Still not finished with the design part.  It is a nightmare! I can make decisions for other people easy. Friends ask me, what kind of party should I have for my 2 year old? what color paint should I use in our family room? But when it comes to my business, my home, children I freeze. I am easily side tracked too, between the children's activities, freelance projects, life. The new site will be coming soon...there are a ton of darling invitations, baby announcements and new holiday cards, tags, etc!

old friends are the best

I just love to see old friends. Yesterday we jumped in the car and drove to Hunting Island to met a friend from Atlanta. How beautiful is this place???

my plate is full

Between car pool, football practice and homework, my plate designs have pretty much been placed on the back burner. But this morning I woke up from a dream about plate designs! Maybe it's because today is the first college football game of the season and I wanted to tailgate with my plates this year? These plates are great, Melamine plastic not the bad plastic, top rack dishwasher safe. Perfect for the beach, kids, picnic, tailgating, holidays, really anything. I have been terrible about fitting blogging into my routine since school started. I know it is Wednesday, but I promise to make this week a little better.
